Dig Deep and Diversify to Find Your Better!

We’ve hit the “in between'' time. That time between the holidays and Spring. The time between New Year’s Resolutions and – well - feeling unmotivated and cold. Some call it winter blues or winter doldrums. 

This year it’s even more intense because we are still “in between” regarding the pandemic. There seems to be light at the end of the tunnel yet we are still living with restrictions. 

So I am calling on you to dig deep for your better! Now, when it’s tough. The road to our best comes from nudging ourselves to stay on the path to seeking our better every day, not just when you feel like it or when a big event or vacation is on the horizon.

The good news is, there are ways to get re-motivated and bridge the “in between” gap.

The best way I’ve found is to DIVERSIFY. Do something different. Change up your routine. Shift your energy. It works!

Have you been going to yoga twice a week, and it’s getting tougher to get off the couch? Why not try a Cardio Barre class with Hannah Hardesty on Saturdays at 10:30 AM? Or Kim Hennigan’s TRX combo on Thursdays at 5:30 PM?

Hit spin class three times a week typically, and now you find yourself just going through the motions? Why not slow it down (on a cold winter night) and give your body and mind a real treat by checking out Paige’s wonderful Vinyasa Yoga on Wednesdays at 6 pm at LCD Hot.

Trying something new gives you fresh energy. Not to mention all the physical and training plusses, including:

  • Build new muscles

  • Improve your movement

  • Help develop a healthy brain 

  • Break through weight loss plateaus

  • Meet new people!Reduce risk of injury
